Katrina lives in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband, two college age daughters, and 6 mischievous kitties.
For the majority of her life, Katrina struggled with her weight. And those years of becoming a dieting expert led to a scale high of over 400 pounds.
Katrina followed a low carb way of life for years, but not wholeheartedly. She gave herself "permissions." If it was a holiday, she ate whatever she wanted. If it was a special occasion, she ate whatever she wanted. If it was a vacation, she ate whatever she wanted. If it was a weekend- you guessed it- she ate whatever she wanted. She regularly cycled in-and-out of ketosis, and she struggled.
Everything changed for her over Labor Day weekend of 2014, when she quite by accident stopped having all sugar substitutes. Once she cut out sweeteners, she noticed that her hunger and cravings were suddenly gone, and the 40 pounds she shed felt like they came off by magic. This unintentional experiment made her realize that she had a carb addiction. She knew that she had to treat it as an addict would and abstain from the foods that just made her want more and more. She vowed to not cheat and has stuck to that plan 100%.
When she plateaued in early 2015, she deepened her resolve by adding exercise to her plan. She joined a gym. That made all the difference. Katrina experienced steady and consistent losses as well as changes in the way her body was shaped.
As the weight came off, Katrina discovered she has a little known, generally misdiagnosed, and progressively debilitating fat disorder called lipedema, which impacts anywhere from 10-30% of women. The disease is said to not be impacted by diet or exercise. However, Katrina found that keto and her self-care choices allowed her to not only arrest the progression of this disease, but to also roll back stages of this disease.
Now Katrina is in her 5th year of helping others to gain control of their health and weight. Katrina is a firm believer in loving yourself through every step of the journey and that self care is the glue that makes advocating for yourself at all levels both possible and imperative. When you are ready to take that step, Katrina can help you with: discovering your goals and what’s holding you back; getting that inner voice in your head to align with your goals; how to adjust/tweak your eating to fit a ketogenic lifestyle; tracking (or not); food triggers and emotional eating; working out (or not); and making this a lifestyle you stick with permanently.

Thank you so much for this class. After following keto groups for two years I thought I knew it all. Boy was I wrong! I am totally off of sweeteners, I learned how to intermittently fast properly, that carbs are more than just grains and sugars, that veggies are not necessary, how salt and magnesium are so important, and mostly being in a space of like-minded people! There is so much more that I can’t list them all. Thank you ladies Mary Roberts and Katrina Harris for taking the time and really caring about helping others get healthy. I will miss seeing you every week.

I'm a tab bit jealous of people just starting out to have access to such great keto coaches--I wish I would have had the opportunity; it would have saved me a lot of trial and error. But, I am so happy to have found this family and I look forward to meeting many of you in Austin.
I went through menopause at 40 and began to really struggle with my weight. I was no longer seeing success with the "normal" weight loss plans that had worked in my 20s and 30s and I was at my wit's end. I hired Katrina as my coach because I could not wrap my head around eating fat. I was terrified I would do it wrong and continue to gain. Figuring out the food ended up being the easy part - fixing my thinking and setting reasonable expectations for MY unique journey was where coaching was truly invaluable. I was a relatively slow loser and having Katrina help me understand why my progress was slow helped me stay the course. She also encouraged me focus on the non-scale benefits of Keto such as better sleep and no more aches and pains instead of being singularly focused on the scale.
